Glen Morris to Birley Gates

This stretch of the Grand River is popular because it is doeable throughout the canoeing season. Depending on the river flow there are lots of rapids and some challenging areas. Deer can often be seen as well as the occasional muskrat.

Be sure to bring lots of water, lunch , sunscreen, a hat and your best paddling skills. As of Sunday there is a chance of rain, so bring your rain gear.

Cost is $6    Meet at the shed at 8:30. Your trip organizers are: Lynn Warmington,  Mark Zelinka  and Dianne Wagner.

We did this section in our training so it will be interesting to see how the river has changed.  Lots hope for a sunny fun filled day.

  1. Looking forward to it! One of my favourite paddles as it is never the same and has lots of opportunities to practice maneuvers we learned in training! Looking forward to seeing everyone again!
