Due to lack of interest and no tower, tomorrow’s Easy Breezy is being cancelled.
The next Easy Breezy is scheduled for August 15th. (Moyer’s Landing to River’s Bluff)
There hasn’t been much interest in our Easy Breezy outings this year. Attendance has been much lower than in the past. We have also not had anyone volunteer to tow for the past several trips either.
Therefore, the question to our membership is:
1) Do we continue with Easy Breezy paddles?
2) If yes, are you willing to volunteer to be a Trip Organizer or be a tower?
3) If yes, how often would you paddle on an Easy Breezy trip?
4) If no, why?
Please use the comments below to start a discussion, provide feedback and suggestions.
Why not car top.
We did that often years ago. All you need are two canoes to make it go….all this towing is not necessary. Six canoes can go for that matter or more……or 1 Canoe and the kayak. The only concern is that you have the right transportation should you need to car pool.

I work until the end of June, so I would attend easy breezy Thursdays but there hasn’t been any so far in July. I was all ready to head out the door for Tuesday’s Pushlinch but that too was cancelled due to potential lightening. Looking forward to the rescheduled date. Extreme heat would be a significant factor in my not attending. I do not have an appropriate vehicle to tow and if I did…I sense disaster!😉 ( Al, sorry, your truck was stolen. )

Comment from Pina Tenti:
Yes, we should continue with the Easy Breezy, but only once per month.
I, with Marilynn Fisher, have volunteered for 3 outing this year, only for rivers, no lakes.
These trips were designed for those who preferred closer to home and easier canoeing.
Also for new members who could enjoy the river and practicing strokes.
Unfortunately very few new members join on these outing…why?

Comment from Pat Aiken:
Yes I want the easy breezys to continue. Yes I will volunteer to be a trip organizer on one
I will go to as many as I can. Every week or twice monthly.
I’ve been an enthusiastic paddler ever since I joined the Club in 2015. Yes, I would like to see the Easy Breezys continue and am willing to ASSIST in organizing. However I am puzzled as to the reason for lack of interest from the members, what with over 20 new members! Perhaps some members have such full schedules that the Easy Breezys just don’t fit in. I try to plan my summer schedule around the canoe trips where possible and would go to all of them weather permitting. THE SUMMER IS ALL TOO SHORT! LET’S KEEP THOSE PADDLES WET.
