Tuesday’s paddle is on Big Creek down near Long Point. This river is know as the Amazon of Ontario. It’s a very interesting river with lots of twists and turns. There are no visible rocks but because of the flooding this year there are a couple of trees across the river that we will have to climb over. There was a log jam but I believe it has been cleared. The takeout is very muddy so make sure you have your water shoes on. I encountered a few bugs so bug spray is another good idea. Bring the usual gear: lunch, water, rain apparel , sunscreen, etc. As of Sunday there is a chance it will but no thunderstorms yet. Those who went last year really enjoyed it.
Meet at the shed at 8:00am. Please don’t be late as it is a long drive. It takes about 1hour and 30 minutes to get there plus shuttle time.
The cost is $9.00 Don’t forget the drivers !
Trip organizers are Dianne and Lynn .
