Hello Fellow Members of the Old Salts,
Every September, a trip is planned to the Algonquin Park area. Those joining the group stay at the Bondi Village Resort, just east of Huntsville { www.bondi-cottage-resort.com } . Our trip this year runs from Sept 17th to the 21st, at an individual cost of $269.00 per person, {you make a non refundable deposit to the club of $100.00 in late spring, with the balance due in mid August } plus your share of the food costs. { We make our own meals }.
We car pool up and back and members of the group stay in shared accommodation either in the main Lodge or an adjacent cottage. We have an organizational meeting at the end of August for those signed on for the trip, where we have general discussions,make our plans on assorted topics and decide on transport up and back. We are responsible, in designated groups, for the purchase of our food and each group has a turn preparing Breakfast and Supper on a specified day. The Lunch group provides an assortment of sandwich items that we put together and carry with us on our daily outings away from the Lodge.

Our days are spent canoeing various waterways, hiking, exploring and enjoying the ambiance of being at Bondi and away from the busyness of our daily lives.
A participant is required to have at least the beginner canoe training with the club and is responsible for bringing their personal clothing and other necessities. Bondi provides bedding, towels and wash clothes for use during your stay. All cookware, utensils and so on are also provided in the fully stocked kitchen.

Do you have a deadline date for latest that people can sign up?
I would like to attend; however, will know more of my situation in the coming weeks and wanted to know if there is a deadline for signage. Theresa M
Hi Theresa,
There is lots of time yet. I am suggesting the deadline date for the initial deposit will be June 1st. The treasurer must make a deposit to Bondi of our firmed up commitment and I must have the final numbers for the assorted planning that has to be done.
The information of where and when to send the cheques will be sent directly by me to the participants who have signed up.
