Trip: Rockwood Conservation Area Rockwood Conservation Map
Date:  Thursday, Sept 8th
Time:  Meet at the shed at 2 pm for a 2:15 pm departure
Trip Leader(s): Marilyn Fischer
Tower: Alberta Piche
Details: This is a lovely paddle amongst the cliffs and ruins of the park. Bring something for the Pot Luck, a wiener stick, dishes and cutlery, water, hat, sunscreen, PFD and a lawn chair.
Notes:  The Club will supply the wieners and condiments. There is a fee of $6.25 to enter the park. There is a film crew at the ruins so we don’t know how close we can paddle to them.
There have been changes to the park. They have removed all but one fire pit, we will have to use the one at 304. We turn in at our usual spot but carry on to the farthest group site.
Skill Level: EASY BREEZY – Basic training required.
Shuttle: No
Trip Fee: $8 (exact amount please) No envelopes required.

Please contact Marilynn Fisher: mlynn25@outlook.com or call 226-808-9365 to register for this trip. Please indicate in your email if you plan on canoeing (to determine how many canoes will be needed and if we need more than one tower or have to car top) and/or if you will only be joining us for the pot luck (to determine how many wieners we will require).
If you are only joining us for the pot luck, supper will be at 5:30 once the paddlers have returned. Those who are canoeing, will be keeping their food in their trunks while they are on the water.

If you change your mind or are unable to make it for some reason, please let the Trip Leader know asap as this will affect number of canoes required, partners, etc.
Please make car pooling arrangements before we meet on Thursday morning. The membership list can be found here if you need contact information.

Please note:  Construction has started for the next 7 weeks at Weber and Albert Street and continues further on Weber Street near St. David’s school. The ONLY way to enter Dutton Drive is by turning off of Parkside on to Weber Street. The signs says ‘local traffic only! Albert and Weber Street is closed and you cannot drive either way on Weber Street ~  from King Street to Dutton Drive.
