Tuesday’s trip info is as follows:

Trip: Grand River – West Montrose – Kaufman’s Flat
Date:  August 10th
Time:  Meet at the shed at 8:30 a.m. for a 8:45 a.m. departure

Details:  A leisurely paddle past golf courses and lovely greenery starting at the covered bridge!
Skill Level: Basic training required
Shuttle: Yes
Trip Fee: $6

Please note that there is still &construction on Weber St. between Northfield Dr.and King St. and the traffic is one way.  To access Dutton Dr., you must come in from Northfield Dr. or Parkside Ave.

Reminders:

    1. Covid protocols are till being followed, so bring  masks and your own hand sanitizer.
    2. Members must be fully vaccinated.
    3. Members must have trip fee prepared in advance – $6.
      • Exact fee only. There will be no change available.
      • Fee must be in a sealed envelope with the name of the participant and the amount of money inside clearly written on the outside.
    4. Please be on time. If you are going to be late, or can’t make it, let Anne know so it doesn’t hold everyone else back.

Did you mark your calendar?

Trip:  {Easy Breezy} Guelph Royal City Park

Meet at the shed for 9:00 a.m so we can leave by 9:15 a.m.

Don’t forget to contact Anne Woolner at  519-743-2277 to save your spot for Thursday’s trip. If you can’t come, but reserved a spot, don’t forget to let Anne know as well.

Remember to check your email  first thing Thurs. morning in case of cancellation should there be inclement weather or not enough people sign up for the trip.

Date:  August 5th
Trip Organizer: Anne Woolner
Tower: TBD
Time:  Meet at the shed at 9:00 a.m. for 9:15 a.m. departure
Details: Easy Breezy – Open to all members.  This is an easy flat water paddle.  Great opportunity to reconnect with members you haven’t seen in a while, meet and welcome new members and just enjoy being outdoors and on the water! Good time to practice strokes as well.
Skill Level: Basic  training required
Shuttle: No
Trip Fee: $6

This is a beautiful, professionally printed manual for those of you who don’t have printers or would prefer a hard copy to have on hand. The cost of this book is $10 which will go the “Shed Relocation Project” fund. Everything you want to know about the Club is in this book!

August 3rd Trip Details

The Tuesday, July 27th  (Kaufman’s Flats to Shirley Dr.) was cancelled due to inclement weather. Since this is a trip that many members enjoy, it has been rescheduled for August 3rd. Let’s cross our fingers for a day of sunshine!

Please note that the Trip Schedule can now be saved, viewed and printed as a PDF!When it comes to trip day, please check your emails first thing in the morning if it looks like inclement weather is going to be a factor and a cancellation may be possible. We don’t want anyone to get to the shed and find no one there. When in doubt, call the Trip Organizer to confirm the trip is happening, particularly if you live outside the K-W area.

We are very happy to be able to open this season and so far, our trips have been well attended and enjoyed by all participants. The schedule is posted with trips scheduled up till the end of August. There will probably be a few tweaks for one reason or another, but we want to know what you think and would appreciate your thoughts. Use the comments section below this post:
