WHAT’S HAPPENING!

Celebration of Life – Murray Pope

Hello all,

It is with great sadness that we let our membership know of the passing our great friend Murray Pope last week.

For those of you who don’t know him, he was our President for many years and was instrumental in getting our club to where it is today. For those of you who do know him, he was a great friend who will be remembered for his smile, inclusiveness and larger than life personality.

To celebrate his life, please join Pat (his wife) and family and friends on Sunday, November 3rd at Wing 404 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Thank you.

If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the “Leave a Reply” below this post.

Car Rally & Potluck {October 29th}

This event will take place rain or shine, so bring your sunglasses,
umbrella and suitable footwear. Meet at Wing 404 at 9:00 am.

Participants will form teams of 2 to 4 players (minimum 2, maximum 4).
Choose a driver, navigator and recorder. Teams will leave at timed
intervals. You will have to leave the vehicle to find some clues. Be
prepared for a few linguistic twists.

This is not a race, and there are no points awarded for an early finish.
Points are awarded for the fewest kilometers driven and for the
number of completed tasks and correct answers. Participants may not
use maps or electronic devices for navigating or providing answers.

A potluck will take place at the final destination, so bring your dish of
choice to share. Your potluck dish may be passed along to the rally
organizers before you leave the 404. Hot/cold beverages and plate,
cutlery, etc. will be provided.

Be prepared for a challenging event!
