Gentle Reminder:
If you want Old Salt Sr. Canoe Club to continue, we require volunteers.  
These three positions will be vacant for 2025 canoe season.
1. Training Coordinator. This position can be shared by two people.

Another paddle is laid to rest ~ Brenda Welch (Notice of Celebration)

A Celebration of life will be held at Erb and Good Funeral Home on
Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. 

 

And so today, we mourn the passing of the “There may be chocolate”  lady, Brenda Welch.
A member for many years, a Board of Director and a Social Committee Chairperson. 
Brenda enjoyed engaging with members and encouraging them to join bowling, mini-golf, and numerous social activities to have fun while meeting club members.
Kind in spirit and a gentle soul, her memory will live on and she will be missed.
May she find a canoe, a bike, a trail in her next life and RIP.

The Amazing Race ~ Potluck

The Old Salts’ Annual Road Trek/Car Rally and Potluck Social

Date: Tuesday, October 22nd
Time: 10:30 am to mid-afternoon
Starting Point: Meet at Wing 404 parking lot

Invited: Club members, spouses/partners and guests are welcome to attend.
NO prior registration is required. 

Potluck Details: 
Potluck at the final destination.
Potluck items can be transferred to organizers before the teams depart.  
Hot/cold beverages and plates/cutlery, etc. will be provided. 

Format: Teams of 3-4 participants will be formed and start off in staggered departures as quickly as possible thereafter.

Tuesday, December 3rd Annual Christmas Luncheon

Mark this date on your calendar and plan to join fellow club members as we gather to celebrate another successful canoe season and the end of 2024.

Thank you to the Social Committee for organizing this Annual Luncheon.

Location: Schmitsville Restaurant

Wellesley, N0B 2T0
Time: 12:00 noon
Cost: Each person is responsible for the cost of their own meal/purchases

Special Dietary Restrictions: 
They do not have vegan or vegetarian options on their menu.

Location: Market Sports ( 800 King Street North, Waterloo, N2J 4G8)
Formerly known as Max Golf (our previous mini-golf location)

Cost: Tax included – Over 65 $12.37 and Under 65 $14.53
