Trip: Speed River, Royal City, Guelph
Date: Thursday, Aug 18th
Time: Meet at the shed at 9:00 a.m. for a 9:15 a.m. departure

Details: This is a 40 min drive each way. We will paddle upstream to the railroad bridge and then paddle back for lunch and, of course, ice cream at a riverside outlet! This is a lovely trip with lots of interesting scenery and turtles. Bring lunch, water, hat, sunscreen, PFD
Notes: Please make car pooling arrangements before we meet on Thursday morning. The membership list can be found here if you need contact information. In light of the increasing price of gas, we highly encourage people to carpool and share gas costs. If you carpool, please remember to contribute gas money to your driver. A $5 minimum to $7+ would be appropriate for this trip.
Skill Level: EASY BREEZY – Basic training required.

If you change your mind or are unable to make it for some reason, please let the Trip Leader know asap as this will affect number of canoes required, partners, etc. and so the rest of the group won’t be waiting for you unnecessarily.
Please note: Construction has started for the next 7 weeks at Weber and Albert Street and continues further on Weber Street near St. David’s school. The ONLY way to enter Dutton Drive is by turning off of Parkside on to Weber Street. (Don’t ask if north, south, east or west )The signs says ‘local traffic only! Albert and Weber Street is closed and you cannot drive either way on Weber Street ~ from King Street to Dutton Drive.
