Almost Annual MiniGolf Classic

Let’s Take this Opportunity to Socialize!

Date:  Thurs. Sept.9
Time:  Meet at 9:30 outside the entrance
Where: Max’s Sports World. (Near the Farmer’s Market Rd. And the Expressway)
800 King St. N.
Waterloo.
N2J 4G8
Covid Precautions:
The balls and clubs are sanitized after use.  Masks are required inside when you get equipment, pay, or use the washroom.  Outside they are not required but you are welcome to wear one if you feel more comfortable.  Social distancing or a mask is recommended if you are not in the same family.P

Please let Brenda Welch at brendajwelch@hotmail.com or 519-884-2168 know if you plan to attend.  If we get more than 20 people, we get a discount of 10 per cent!
Our cost would then be $8.14, but bring $8.25 because it is easier and we can give the extra ( not a lot) to the person at the counter.  If we have less than 20, it will be $9.05.  Please bring cash, and the right change for either amount.  We have to make one payment to get the discount.
This is a strictly social event.  No talent or experience necessary.  We divide people up into groups of four or five.  There are two courses and we use both.  Afterwards we have the awards ceremony in the outdoor patio.  Everyone’s a winner.

Rain date Sept. 10

TRIP CANCELLATIONS FYI
We have been having wacky weather these last few weeks with constant threats of thunderstorms/lightning which have contributed to trip cancellations.  Trips will only be cancelled if there are thunderstorms/lightning imminent during our paddle time (we have paddled in the rain if there is no lightning danger). We will also cancel if not enough people sign up for a trip, no one volunteers to organize a particular trip,  and if no one volunteers to tow. Let’s hope next week brings good paddling weather.

Help! We need Trip Organizers to organize and lead trips for both the Tuesday and Thursday outings, especially the ones that are blank in September on the Trip Schedule. We’ve added some of our favourite trips to the schedule, so if you can, consider volunteering or team up with a friend to help organize and lead. If we don’t get anyone to lead these trips, they will be cancelled and the season will be over. For a successful season, we need everyone to help out in some capacity.
Contact Anne Woolner at  annewoolner@hotmail.com or call 519-743-2277 to sign up. If you want to know what organizing a trip entails, we have a trip organizing section on the Blog to help you out to make it as easy as possible!
