Stocking the River ~ May 1st

Hello team, As always,  I am sharing this information with you regarding the annual stocking of the river.
I will be participating for my 15th year.
At this point, I have a spot in my canoe.

Email from Brad:
Hello all

You have received this email because you have either participated in the past or have shown an interest.
The stocking dates for the Conestogo River this year are May 1st and 2nd.
We will also have some brood stock on May 3rd.

This year we will have significantly more fish than previous years so organization from my end is more important than ever.
We will be stocking the bulk of the fish with the live wells in the canoes.
I have 7 live wells so I am looking for 7 canoes with paddlers.

Even if you are by yourself with a canoe, I may be able to find a paddler for you.
RSVP:  Brad Knarr:    rogue_wave@hotmail.com
It is very important that when you reply if you can let me know if you will be bring a canoe and are by yourself or if there are two of you.
I will also need people for support  to load the canoes.
It is extremely important for you to let me know if you are able and to what extent.
We will still be carrying buckets, but not the extent of prior years. Please let me know if you need more information.
I will be running a longer stretch of the river due to more fish.
Meet: We will meet this year in Glen Allen at the park at 9 am to offload the canoes and prep them for the arrival of the stocking tanker truck. Please let me know asap.

Cheers

Join us for our September “Bondi Trip”

Bondi Resort Sept 9-13, 2024

Are you interested in joining our canoeing adventures in the Algonquin area?

We stay in a beautiful historic lodge on the shores of Lake of Bays.
We divide the group into 4 teams, each taking responsibility for one breakfast and one supper.
Everyone takes care of providing their own lunches to take on our canoe trips.

The cost for the 4 nights is about $400.
Although we canoe during the day, at night we also have games, a wolf howl, star gazing and a campfire.
There are lots of trails on the property and even an ultimate frisbee course.

If you are interested or want more information contact Anne Woolner
Email: annewoolner@hotmail.com or
Phone: 519-743-2277.

We only have 4 spaces left, so don’t miss out on the fun!!!
